Pastor's Page

Hi, thanks for coming to my page.
It seems like everyone has something to say and I guess I am no different. I want to ask you something..... What do you call important? A boy friend/girl friend? A MySpace or Facebook account? A good paying job? A nice house? Nice things you buy with your good job to put in your nice house? What makes the things you call important....important? How much value do they have and how is that value determined? I mean, who is it that has the authority to say this or that is worth something or not? Who can you believe about what is important? Who decides (for you) what is important? Is it you? Your boss, your parents? Do you have any say about this life? Who is it you trust to make those decisions? Yourself? Have you ever changed your mind about something? Have you ever just had a bad day and decided not to do what you know you should have done? Like, go to work or school? Can YOU always depend on YOU?

Something I have learned is that I cannot always depend on me. You see there are times when I am sick, get my feeling hurt, just have a plain ole bad day don't care and don't want to care about nothing. And when that happens, not only do I make poor decisions, I often make ones I later regret. So, I figured out a way to always make the right decision, even when I don't feel like it....just ask God. Yeah, that's right, it is just that simple. See, I believe God owns everything and He is a lot smarter than me, so the easiest decision I can make is to let God make it for me. Since He never has a bad day or gets depressed....and since He already knows all the answers.....it seems like to me the smart thing would be to try and find out what God already knows.....what is best for me. Now, how could I go wrong with that?
